Who Qualifies?
Fitness Through Equitation is designed for Intermediate to Experienced riders. You'll be riding at a trot and canter for a consecutive 30 to 45 minutes to keep your heart rate in the fat burning or cardio endurance zone (depending on your personal goals). You need to have a foundation of good equitation, riding correctly with effective aids. You must know how to maintain steady, light contact with your horse's mouth and stay balanced through all three gaits. You may ride in English or Western tack and attire.
